"Celebrating 45 Years of Promoting the Prevention and Treatment of Cardiovascular Disease, including Stroke, in Blacks and other Minorities and Achieving Health Equity for all through the Elimination of Disparities."

Founded in 1974, the Association of Black Cardiologists, Inc. (ABC) is a nonprofit organization with an international membership of over 1,800 health professionals, lay members of the community (Community Health Advocates), corporate members, and institutional members. The ABC is dedicated to eliminating the disparities related to cardiovascular disease in all people of color.

Today, ABC’s public and private partnerships continue to increase our impact in communities across the nation.

The 10th Annual Spirit of the Heart Awards will honor distinguished individuals and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to the advancement of health equity and/or the reduction of cardiovascular disease disparities.

We invite you to join us as we recognize those with extraordinary contributions in medicine, research, mentoring, public service, leadership, and volunteerism and celebrate the generosity of endowed and annual scholarships.
